Seaside Spa and Salon Selected for Energy Makeover by PSE

by Coupeville Chamber 10th December 2020

Puget Sound Energy’s Small Business Energy Makeover Contest has come to a close. Over 1200 entries were received, and one of the four winners is in Coupeville:

Seaside Spa and Salon!

The entire makeover process will be captured and featured on KING 5’s Evening magazine in early 2021. They’ll film the transformation, showcase the upgrades as well as share tips so businesses can learn how to save energy themselves.

Judges noted that Seaside Spa and Salon kept their 15 employees on board throughout the pandemic and even did fundraising for the local hospital. The business is located at 5 Front Street, one of the oldest buildings in the historic waterfront commercial district.

Each of the winners will receive energy efficiency improvements to lower their bills, as well as cosmetic upgrades. Total value of the award is $45,000.

In addition to the Whidbey Island winner, judges selected the following businesses: James Place Child Development Center in Bellingham, Gotti Sweets in Olympia, and Maneki, a Japanese restaurant in The International District of downtown Seattle.
