Whidbey Island Bus Routes
As you take a glance at the image displayed above, you'll see that Whidbey Island has a comprehensive bus schedule that runs the entire length of the island. It's worth mentioning that Island Transit, a service provider on the island, has been in operation since 1987, offering efficient services to the locals. To give a little history, the PTBA (public transportation benefit area), which initially provided transport services, underwent a name change and became "Island Transit." The new service provider then introduced fare-free services with four bus routes that covered Oak Harbor and southern Whidbey Island. Additionally, they also offered vanpool service to the Boeing Everett Factory, and contracted dial-a-ride service. It's good to note that Island Transit provides the most current schedules to its users.
