Oh, we could give you a list of top 10 restaurants, but they change so much we consider all our restaurants on island worthy of trying at least once.

Dining on Whidbey Island

Serving the North end of Whidbey Island, Oak Harbor is home to Naval Air Station Whidbey, and the first town you’ll come to heading South from Deception Pass. Oak Harbor offers a wide array of dining choices, and there’s likely a tasty treat to satisfy most every palate. Traditional favorites include all American choices like real Southern hickory smoked BBQ, outstanding burgers and brews, or maybe delicious Mexican food is on the menu.  Looking for an upscale, white linen experience? Fraser’s Gourmet Hideaway for amazing steaks, seafood, and other hard to find offerings. There’s an amazing, backlit Onyx stone bar looking into the open kitchen… a perfect spot for two to sip and dine!

Over 100 years ago farmers were drawn to the fertile fields of Ebey’s Prairie, and New England sea captains anchored in Penn Cove for safe harbor. Today, it looks much the same due to efforts that created Ebey's Landing National Historical Reserve.

With an abundance of seasonal, fresh ingredients to choose from, restaurants in Coupeville use local food sources whenever possible for “just off the farm (or out of the sea!)” produce, seafood and meats. Whether it’s world famous Penn Cove Mussels or beef from 3 Sisters Family Farm, eating out at Coupeville restaurants has something for everyone! Try an old fashion tavern serving beer and wine and a variety of traditional tavern fare including fish and chips, mussels and burgers to go along with a wide selection of wine and beer. A classic American Grill in the Coupeville area with a full bar and a great wine list is located just three doors down from the historic Coupeville Wharf, with amazing views of Penn Cove and Mt. Baker. Bring the whole family for lunch or dinner or just join them for Happy Hour. Either way, they’ll make you feel very welcome!

Heading south to Langley, don't let our quiet streets fool you: history meets hip in Langley. This seaside village is where you can experience everything from blowing glass to talking with coffee roasters, artists and winemakers, and some great places to imbibe and feast!

French inspired Northwest eats! Featuring a full cocktail bar, Prima Bistro offers an extensive wine list with high end wines by the glass. Live music every Thursday night and a great happy hour daily from 3:00-6:00. Outdoor deck seating with an incredible view over Saratoga passage is available when the weather permits!

There are so many fine eating establishments on Whidbey Island, I guess you'll just need to check out the dining guide!
