Rob Schouten Gallery presents The Magic of Water - new and recent paintings by Peggy Woods

September 1 - October 2

Artist’s Reception on Saturday, September 2 from 5 to 7 during Langley’s First Saturday Art Walk.

Watercolorist Peggy Woods captures our love affair with water as no other painter in “The Magic of Water,” an exhibition that focusses on the play of light on water, whether glowing with contrast, or misty and moody. Her quiet observation invite the viewer to celebrate the tranquil dramas that convey the poignancy of everyday coastal life captured in sixteen original paintings.

An avid kayaker, many of Peggy’s paintings depict views from low on the water looking to the rocky shores and forested bluffs ashore. At times a human element is present in the form of a fellow kayaker, a lone beach walker, or a sailboat anchored for the night.
