Amelia Wood does her Primitive Pulse Fitness Training in people’s homes

by Carolyn Tamler 21st October 2024

If you are interested in receiving one-on-one personal training and metabolic health coaching, Amelia Wood can teach you ways to decrease any barriers you have to obtaining optimal health. She can do this in your home and virtually.  She notes: “Common barriers often include transportation and mobility issues, gym culture and other areas that can slow the process of optimizing one’s metabolic health.”

“With Amelia’s food-first approach, she helps clients align their mental and physical well-being. She offers cooking and meal prep tips as well as grocery store tours for people who want help shopping for healthier food choices. She emphasizes, “I think it’s vital that we enjoy our food and look forward to eating healthy options. Then it becomes a sustainable habit instead of an annoying one.”

Amelia Wood moved to Whidbey Island in June after living in Edmonds most of her life. A close friend encouraged her to move to Whidbey Island to enjoy a change of pace. She bought a home in Skagit Head, and has settled into life on Whidbey.

Her goal for each person with whom she works is to provide guidelines for a holistic approach to health.  She notes that this encompasses mind, body, and culture, all of which impact a person’s health.

To do her one-on-one work, she visits a client at their home. She comments: “Every time I visit, I can feel a shift in the person’s energy.”  She adds: “I don’t require any equipment, just the ability to spend personal time.”

When she works with someone, she looks at every aspect of their lives, and together they review what is working and what isn’t.  Her goal for each client is to help them thrive.  She adds, “By empowering people to better understand their metabolic health, it can greatly affect their lives.”

Working with a client this way allows them to review every aspect of their life and gain a better understanding of what is working and not working for them to live a life that brings them satisfaction.
