About this Event

Join us to learn about the writing journeys of local memoir authors Barbara Terao and Jeanne Guy. Barbara and Jeanne will lead participants in reflective writing exercises and share their favorite memoir titles for your reading list.

Ralph Waldo Emerson wrote in his journal, The good writer seems to be writing about himself, but has his eye always on that thread which runs through himself and all things.

Reflective writing can help us understand ourselves better. We learn by listening to each other and simply moving our pen on the page to discover what lies within.

Practice reflecting writing techniques with us without pressure because sharing what you write is optional and there will be no critiques.  Pen and paper will be provided.

Check out Reconfigured by Barbara Terao and You'll Never Find Us by Jeanne Guy.

This event is part of Sno-Isle Reads Together. The 2025 selection is Accordion Eulogies by Noé Álvarez. Discover additional Sno-Isle Reads Together events, including four opportunities to meet the author. Sno-Isle Reads Together is funded by the Sno-Isle Libraries Foundation.
