Double Bluff Brewing Co. in Langley is celebrating its 9th year providing great beer, entertainment and now food.

by Daniel and Marissa 15th April 2024

Daniel Thomis and his wife, Marissa, have created a must-visit family friendly place for craft beer, food and entertainment in downtown Langley.

Double Bluff Brewing Company expanded last fall to a new much larger location at 121 Second Street. They have kept their old location that now serves as their main production facility.  The larger space offers modern and airy indoor seating as well as a large outdoor garden patio where they will have live music all summer long.

Daniel and Marissa did some work to make the new space more comfortable and inviting. They put in new floors and fresh paint, and have made sure that the space is “fun, cozy and happy.”

They have teamed up with Stephanie and Chris Balora of Ikaika Bistro. Their food truck is permanently situated on the property. They bring a wonderful and tasty menu of Polynesian, Southern, and American cuisine. People can now enjoy lunch or dinner along with their beer (always 12 delicious beers on tap which includes three rotating guest taps). The always interesting selection of beers includes their award-winning flagship beers (Anthesian India Red Ale, Brown Ale and Langley Summer Ale) as well as seasonal and new beers that are constantly being rotated in.

Double Bluff Brewing Company has always been a place for community events and live music and now they have even more! Marissa Thomis is the director of event planning and spearheads all the entertainment from “Hop Handmade,” a new pop-up art event (that coordinates with the First Saturday Artwalk in Langley) to “Solo in the City,” a mid-week solo performance by a new local artist. During the summer months they have live music every Saturday to be performed under their large outdoor bandstand. “We also have had wonderful events at the new space: from our annual Oktoberfest, Winterfest, St. Patrick’s Day Fest to our new Halloween Bash and Love Fest!” said Marissa. “We are excited for our first summer, where people can enjoy live music in our outdoor garden and patio area and have a fine meal with their choice of craft beer, local wine or cider (as well as non alcoholic beverages),” adds Marissa.

They have a dog-friendly patio  and it is a kid-friendly place.

A special way to enjoy Double Bluff Brewing Co. is by becoming a member of the Mug Club or Beer Club which allows members to get discounted prices.
