The Whidbey Island Holistic Health Association (WIHHA) is pleased to announce the recipients of its first-ever scholarship for Whidbey Island students interested in pursuing a career in a holistic health field.

WIHHA originally offered a single scholarship, but had two excellent candidates. Due to the generosity of Rich Ennis, a WIHHA member, we were able to award scholarships to both of them.

The two students both attend Oak Harbor High School and are graduating this month.

Jayden Boyles was introduced to holistic health when his doctor referred him to a chiropractor. Jayden is a track athlete and appreciates how chiropractic care has helped him with pain, mobility and posture. This experience led him to want to study chiropractic care to help others. Jayden will be attending Spokane Falls College to complete his prerequisites and continue his track career.

Annelise Servatius has known that she's wanted to become a dentist since a very young age. She is specifically interested in holistic dentistry and wants to change people's perceptions and their experiences of dental care: to change the negative experiences into positive joyful experiences. Annelise wants to focus on holistic dentistry as preventive care as well as increasing access to care for all people. Annelise will be attending Central Washington University as a Pre-Dental student.

WIHHA’s members are pleased to be able to help support these young people as they pursue their goals.
